My Experience of Repairing Backpack's Zip - Samuel Sam
Well, I know.. I hasn't been updating for a couple of days. And, nothing much to update (Actually, there are a few.. I haven't get my Penang trip's photos ready :P, promised to show off my nails.. but didn't bring my camera! Ohh! I've found a reason to own a smartphone - is to be able to upload photos quick & immediate! Alright.. I'll wait for my current Sony Ericson to break down first.. then only I'll have 'valid' reason to change!
Okay, today, I'm gonna share with you my first experience on luggage repair. My brother's backpack zip needs to be repair before his trip to Alor Setar for his friend's wedding. And, I've googled around and I found: Samuel Sam Luggage Repair somewhere near Desa Park City (The nearest to my place).
Their address & contact details are:
No.11, Lorong Lang Kelabu 1, Kepong Baru, Kuala Lumpur 52100, Kuala Lumpur. Phone: 019-2618215.
Well, it's not exactly a centre, it's his home. And, thanked to GPS, I manage to get my way there. (I don't think I'll be able to reach there without GPS :P) Samuel's wife is a nice lady, she've told me how should I get out from her house (GPS's battery was running low when I was on my way there.. and finally it's dead when I was nearby - I had to call Samuel to get there..) And, she even called back to make sure that I've get my way back home.
Is their service good? How about the charges?
Hehe.. She had told me that if the zip is usable (Don't ask, I don't know.. you gotta let them see to confirm!), then it will only cost me RM10!! It's cheap to me - as I don't know how to repair it. And, that bagpack easily cost my bro above RM150!! He cannot use it anymore because of a broken zip.
Oh, they will call you before they repair it - just to make sure if you are okay with the charge. (Nice right? Of course we don't want to be overcharged) And, when I tell her that I need it before this Saturday, she got it done and I can get it back on the next day!
P/S: If you couldn't find Lorong Lang Kelabu 1 in your GPS, try to look for Jalan Lang Kelabu 1! It's just nearby!
